Liquid-Charge is developing carbon-neutral, bolt-on trickle chargers for large battery electric vehicles. Its unique fuel-cell system uses cheap liquid fuels yet effortlessly retains the CO2 on-board for sequestration. Liquid-Charge uses a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) as a range extender for battery-dominant EVs. The SOFC high-temperature heat reforms liquid fuels and condenses CO2 to liquid form through a chiller. That CO2 is stored on-board in the fuel tank for eventual sequestration.
