Salem Robotics builds autonomous robotic systems for routine inspection and survey work in hazardous industrial environments. Founded by a robotics team with deep experience deploying autonomous systems in nuclear facilities, Salem is bringing reliable mobile manipulation to nuclear, energy, chemical, and other safety-critical industries. Our goal is to let robots perform the repetitive, hazardous inspection workflows that still require people to manually walk routes, position instruments, and collect measurements. Salem develops a hardware-agnostic autonomy and mobile-manipulation layer that turns commercially available mobile robots into autonomous inspection workers. Our technology combines deterministic motion planning with real-time autonomy, allowing robots to navigate facilities, position sensors, trace pipes and equipment, manipulate doors and valves, and execute repeatable contact or near-contact inspection procedures. The technology was developed and proven first in nuclear environments and is now being applied to industrial workflows including LDAR, radiation surveys, corrosion inspection, temperature measurement, and other NDT.
