Torres Orbital Mining Inc (TOM)

TOM is building the core technologies required for autonomous excavation and processing of lunar regolith. Its systems enable reliable, dust-controlled retrieval of raw material for construction, oxygen extraction, and long-duration space operations. TOM combines robotics, mining engineering, and edge AI to create scalable excavation platforms deployable on the Moon and adaptable for terrestrial mine-tailings remediation. TOM's mission is to make off-Earth resource utilization practical, sustainable, and economically accessible. TOM's flagship technology, the Moon-Autonomous Extractor Lander (M-AEL), uses a dual-stage vertical perforation and collection system that prevents dust generation at the source. This modular cylinder design is rover-agnostic, highly scalable, and engineered to retrieve regolith. The startup pairs this hardware with an AI-driven autonomy stack that identifies excavation zones, manages operations, and optimizes throughput. A scaled terrestrial derivative, Tochtli, supports rapid prototyping, tailings research, and customer pilots on Earth.
