Dear Friends of Greentown Labs,

Fourteen startups joined our community in the third quarter of 2022, working on innovations as diverse as a carbontech solution for aluminum manufacturing, an AI platform for tracking scope 1 and scope 3 vehicle emissions, and a waste-biomass-turned-biochar replacement for cement. These startups join a community of more than 200 members working to decarbonize the key greenhouse-gas-emitting sectors and build resilient communities. Curious what these members are up to? Check out Ebb Carbon, which not only restores oceans’ carbon capture capabilities, but actually speeds up the process to happen in a fraction of the time, and Elemental Recycling, which recycles all plastics and tires to create high-purity graphene, graphite, and hydrogen in a process that’s CO2 equivalent neutral.

SparkCharge raised a $7M Series A and will expand its EV charging delivery to 12 new California cities.
NBD Nano, a Greentown alum with expertise in advanced materials and surface properties, was acquired by Henkel.
CalWave concluded a successful wave energy pilot with zero intervention and 99 percent uptime.
Syzygy Plasmonics announced plans to test a fully electric clean hydrogen chemical reactor in partnership with LOTTE Chemical, LOTTE Fine Chemical, and Greentown partner Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.
Criterion Energy Partners obtained a 10,000-acre lease in Texas for its upcoming commercial geothermal project.
LineVision is expanding its partnership with Duquesne Light Company to deploy additional dynamic line rating sensors in the utility’s service territory in southwestern Pennsylvania.
Nth Cycle has begun commercial operations of its electro-extraction critical mineral collector.

Sept. 29: Low-Carbon Hydrogen Accelerator Final Showcase [Greentown Houston]
Join us to celebrate the culmination of the Low-Carbon Hydrogen Accelerator—the 2022 program in the Greentown Go Energize track—a-first-of-its-kind startup-corporate partnerships accelerator focused on advancing innovations that are key to enabling a low-carbon hydrogen economy, in partnership with EPRI, Shell, the City of Houston, and the Urban Future Lab at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.

Sept. 29: Cleantech Open Northeast Regional Finals Awards & Showcase [Greentown Boston]
We’re proud to host the Cleantech Open Northeast Finals judging, awards, and showcase event! This is the organization’s largest event of the year, bringing together industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and innovators to celebrate the region's top cleantech startups.

Oct. 6: EnergyBar: Greentown Go Make 2022 Kickoff Event [Greentown Boston]
Help us kick off Go Make 2022, a Greentown Go startup-corporate partnerships accelerator program focused on decarbonizing supply chains that’s in partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) and enabled by the M-Lab Companies.

Nov. 2-3: Climatetech Summit [Greentown Houston + Greentown Boston]
We’re inviting you, your colleagues, and all the climate champions in your life into our incubators for a day of hands-on exploration with our 200+ startups and their climatetech solutions; keynotes and sessions featuring leaders across climatetech, finance, policy, and justice; and networking with key climate action stakeholders.

Nov. 16: EnergyBar: Go Move 2022 Kickoff Event [Greentown Boston]
Join us to celebrate the kickoff of Go Move 2022—a Greentown Go startup-corporate partnerships accelerator program focused on decarbonizing transportation, in partnership with BASF and Magna—and see pitches from the startup finalists.
